The Artists
Manifesting the Novel
It was a pre-pandemic world when Jason Palter first heard a voice in his head of a character who was obsessed with Michael Douglas, actively emulating many of his most iconic characters to help him navigate ambition, love, and perhaps above all else: sex.
It took a few years of both contemplation and rumination to figure out how to tell this story. When the pandemic struck and the world shut down, there was finally enough quiet for the character's voice and story to completely unfold.
Manifesting the Movie Star is Jason Palter's first novel, and an homage to one of the world's most iconic actors.

When I was 25, I wanted to write a novel but I thought I was too young. When I was 28, I began to write a novel but stopped and thought I'm young, I have time. When I was 36, I began to write a novel but worried I was too old. When I was 42, I wanted to write a novel but was sure I was too old. When I was 47, I had an ephiphany. No more thinking. No more worrying Listen to the characters. Write the story. Release it to the world. I am 50. The time has always been right now.
